Jhynarrien, who likes to go by “JR,” is a fellow with a heartfelt smile who is full of humor! Hearing his friends and family laughing keeps a smile on his face, and he often joins in with his contagious chuckle. During downtime, JR can be found reading a new novel. He especially enjoys mysteries, light-hearted summer reads, and loves a good joke book to keep the laughs rolling. When the sun is shining, some of JR’s favorite things to do include camping and cooking over a fire, fishing, and working in the garden. He also enjoys staying active by playing basketball and soccer. JR has many friends and is often described as a thoughtful individual. Mexican fare is JR’s favorite food, and he dreams of becoming a chef in the pursuit of mastering Mexican cuisine.

He is in the tenth grade.

JR would do best in a Christian family with children and pets in the home; however, his caseworker will consider all family types. He will need to remain in contact with his brother following placement. JR’s caseworker remarks that “he has a big heart with lots of love to give and is longing for a family to love him unconditionally.” Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.

For Missouri children, both homestudied and non-homestudied Missouri families are encouraged to inquire; only homestudied families from other states should do so.
