About this Kid

Mattias is a naturally creative young man who wants to use his inventiveness to help others. He dreams of building a space suit someday that helps protect people from sickness and natural disasters. When asked if he could have any superpower, Mattias would choose telekinesis to read minds and predict the future to stop disasters from happening. Mattias often likes dreaming of these ideas while building with LEGOs. Known as a LEGO legend, he can create vast cities and stories with just a few pieces and his wild imagination. He’ll often include his favorite Pokémon characters (which is currently all of them!) in his play and the worlds he builds. Nothing makes him smile more than an afternoon playing with LEGOs, Pokémon, video games, board games, and expressing himself through music. Mattias loves hamburgers and could eat them for every meal! However, a plate of pork chops or meatloaf with a side of mashed potato and corn is just as delicious. Mattias likes spending time outside looking for the coolest-looking rocks, and it is the highlight of his day if he stumbles across turtles or frogs. In fact, turtles are one of his favorite animals in addition to dogs and cats. After school, he enjoys playing football or Nerf wars, and an ideal night at home would be playing UNO, Jenga, or catching up on TV. Mattias is known for being loyal, respectful, and getting along with children of all ages.

This eighth-grader loves school and learning and enjoys math and science the most.

Mattias would do best in a two-parent household with a mom and a dad. A family with pets in a rural area is preferred; however, his caseworker will consider all family types. He has significant connections to maintain following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
