Meet this dynamic sister and brother duo, Jamiah and Jesse!
Jamiah is a friendly and talkative teen with a big personality. She may be quiet at first, but she opens up quickly once she gets to know you! She is an avid reader and can spend hours lost in a book, especially by her favorite author, Tiffany D. Jackson. She states that her favorite talent is her style – she loves all things fashion, particularly when it comes to tennis shoes. Jamiah gets along well with her peers and the adults in her life, and she looks forward to spending her free time on the weekends hanging out with the friends and family she loves. She delights in McDonald’s and snacks, like chips and candy, but will argue that Starburst and Jolly Ranchers are the best. Her favorite color is yellow, and she loves to watch the koala at the zoo. She likes to relax by hanging out in her room and working on her Diamond Dotz kits. Jamiah thinks having the ability to read minds would be the coolest superpower. She does well in school as a ninth grader. Her favorite classes are English and human development; however, she wishes that school could start later in the day so that she could sleep in more. Jamiah dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up.
Jesse is an incredibly kind and thoughtful pre-teen. He is known to be respectful and helpful at home. He is smart and confident, which helps him when he’s playing on the basketball court, football field, or even in dodgeball! When he’s not running around outside playing with the neighborhood kids, he likes to relax by watching TV and movies. His favorite thing to watch is anything related to his most beloved superhero, Spider-Man! Jesse enjoys school and dreams of someday becoming a scientist or professional athlete in the NBA or NFL. He recently had to do a science project where he made a volcano and presented about it; he was very proud of his work! Jesse adores all kinds of dogs and would vote to eat at McDonald’s any night of the week. His favorite colors are blue and red, and he wishes he could have the power to fly anywhere in the world. Unsurprisingly, this sixth grader’s favorite subjects are math, science, and gym.
Jamiah and Jesse would do best in a family with pets who live in an urban area; however, their caseworker will consider all family types. We will only accept inquiries on the sibling pair, as they will be placed together. They have significant connections to maintain following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
For Missouri children, both home studied and non-home studied Missouri families are encouraged to inquire; only home studied families from other states should do so.
