Lucas
Birth Year: 2009
Child ID: 348667
Meet Lucas, a teen who is goal-oriented and enjoys being a leader! He is serious about schoolwork and likes doing extra credit or assisting his teachers. He works hard at getting good grades and hopes to get a college scholarship to study criminal justice. His backup plan is to join the military and attend college afterward. Either way, he would ultimately like to use his education to become a Highway Patrolman. Lucas knows how to stay busy and is committed to his football team and JROTC. He also likes to burn off steam with some basketball or running track. When having a relaxing afternoon inside, Lucas enjoys playing PS5 or Xbox, working on a puzzle, and building with LEGOs. Pizza is his favorite food, and he wants his future family to know he hates mustard. He is a dog lover at his core, and blue is his most liked color. Lucas is known for being polite and respectful, and he likes to help his peers.
He is in the ninth grade and likes math and science the best.
Lucas would thrive in a family with an opposite-sex couple or a single dad, where he is the youngest or only child. Lucas desires a home “with a strong male role model that will take the time to do things with him.” A Christian home in an urban area is preferred; however, his caseworker will consider all family types. He has significant connections to maintain following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
For Missouri children, both home studied and non-home studied Missouri families are encouraged to inquire; only home studied families from other states should do so.
