Amia

Birth Year: 2009
Child ID: 371601
This sweet and bright teen is neither a girly girl nor a tomboy – she is simply Amia, who prefers to go by “Mia.” She loves the color pink and likes wearing jewelry, but not while she’s playing football. Mia states that football is one of her many skills, but she also wants to try playing softball next season. A quick snack of Cheetos or Twix followed by a Dr. Pepper is sure to keep her going for the big game! Mia is known for being nurturing and gets along well with adults, peers, and younger kids. She is a lover of animals and has a particular fondness for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and all breeds of dogs. If she could have any superpower, she says she would “go back in time to tell little Amia to keep going; it is going to be okay.” In addition to attending college in the future, Mia dreams of traveling to India.
This ninth grader enjoys math the most.
Mia would do best in a family with a single mom or two moms. A Caucasian Christian family with pets in an urban area is preferred; however, her caseworker will consider all family types. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
This is a LEGAL RISK ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT.
For Missouri children, both home-studied and non-home-studied Missouri families are encouraged to inquire; only home-studied families from other states should do so.
